Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy.
St George, St Agatha, and St. Lawrence each have active women's groups. All women are welcome! Gatherings are on occasion and announced in the bulletin when scheduled. In addition to serving lunches and dinners for parish events, funerals and weddings, the women of the respective parishes assist in raising funds for various parish and charitable concerns.
Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Contact the Pastor in advance to schedule a Baptism Prep. class and a date for Baptism.
At present, there is no active Eucharistic Adoration program in any of the parishes. We will look to add something within the upcoming year.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. EMHC's serve as an extension of the Priest's ministry of distributing the Body and Blood of Christ and so can only serve at the Pastor's request and with the Bishop's approval.
Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.
Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.
All men are welcome! Meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month at St George Church beginning with Rosary at 7:30 pm. The Knights serve as honor guard at special Masses, and conduct many service activities for the good of our parishes and our civic community. Funds raised through events such as periodic Bingo, fish fries etc. are dedicated to charitable needs of church or charities. Lunch served during Cooper Days with proceeds dedicated toward an individual or family with extra medical needs.
Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.
Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.
We are blessed with a few good volunteers who help accompany and lead our congregation in song in our parishes. We always welcome, and need, others to come forward and help enhance our Sunday Masses with a variety of music and hymns. If you have musical talent and the desire to help, please call the pastor or contact one of the individuals named in the bulletin.
A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week.
Advises the Pastor on financial and significant matters of the parish. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Helps direct the vision and mission of the parish on other agenda items as needed.
Each of our parishes has the custom of praying the Mysteries of the Rosary before our Sunday Masses, or the Divine Mercy Chaplet during special seasons. Lay members are welcome to assist in this effort.
